Maple and Paduak Jewelry Box

This is a jewelry box for my wife’s birthday…Mother’s Day … Summer Solstice.
It took much longer than I first thought.  I learned that small pieces have just as much “work” in them as a full-sized dresser, if not more.  Everything is smaller and it is much harder to recover from errors (12h x 12w x 9d).
It is made of tiger-stripe maple and Paduak, finished in amber shellac (3 coats) and paste wax.  The drawers are felt-lined.  Each drawer depth was designed for particular pieces and sizes.
My wife wanted an “all-wood” box, so there are no screws, nails, etc.  Even the drawer runners are paduak with grooved drawer sides.
