Log Bench

This is a log bench crafted from a Ponderosa pine trunk.  We use it for launching our snowshoe expeditions out back and up the hill into USFS land.
It was an interesting build, aided by advice from a good neighbor, Chuck Jordan.  First came the bench top leveling, then the notched support
Finally some spar varnish on the seat top.
A lot of chips and dust, but a lot of fun. Makes getting the snowshoes on and off much easier!
